生化机理：Zalcitabine is a nucleoside analog reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NARTI). Zalcitabine is a potent inhibitor of HIV replication at low concentrations, acting as a chain-terminator of viral DNA by binding to reverse transcriptase. Zalcitabine is phosphorylated in T cells and other HIV target cells into its active triphosphate form, ddCTP. This active metabolite works as a substrate for HIV reverse transcriptase, and also by incorporation into the viral DNA, hence terminating the chain elongation due to the missing hydroxyl group. Since Zalcitabine is a reverse transcriptase inhibitor it possess activity only against retroviruses.Nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NRTI). Pyrimidine nucleoside analog, substrate for reverse transcriptase. Able to induce oxidative stress. Effective against HIV replication in vivo.

产品介绍：Application2',3'-Dideoxycytidine in cells, it is phosphorylated to the active triphosphate form, ddCTP, which acts as a substrate for HIV reverse transcriptase (Ki = 51 nM). It incorporates into viral DNA where it terminates chain elongation when the missing hydroxyl group is encountered. It is also is used as a DNA chain-terminating nucleotide for DNA sequencing methods based on the Sanger chain-termination method.
