Remacemide HCl is a low affinity NMDA antagonist with anticonvulsant properties. Remacemide also been shown to block voltage-dependent sodium channels. Remacemide possesses neuroprotective and anti-epileptic actions. It supports reducing the frequency of seizures. Remacemide is also known to be a potential therapeutic for Huntington′s disease.
