An antihypertensive agent that competitively inhibits angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE; IC50= 23-35 nM) and acts as a reversible and competitive inhibitor of LTA4 hydrolase (IC50 = 11 μM). Inhibits angiogenesis and slows the growth of experimental tumors in rats. Reported to inhibit apoptosis in human lung epithelial cells (IC50 = ~ 320 nM). An antihypertensive agent.
